Feli OikonomopoulouChief Executive OfficerFeli spent the first decade of her career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as Counsel and Vice President, structuring banking and capital-markets transactions across London, Singapore, Luxembourg and New York. Working inside a large regulated institution taught her how financial products are actually built, and how far they can remain from most people’s lives. She founded WealthMeUp to close that distance. Feli has also served as Director of Research at the Yale Program on Stakeholder Innovation and Management, working with Fortune 500 leaders on how organizations navigate disruption and create long-term value.
She holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management, where she was a Dean’s Scholar and Forté Fellow, and law degrees from Oxford and Athens. She speaks regularly on investing, fintech and the future of financial services, including at the Yale Innovation Summit, and her work and perspectives have been featured in publications including Forbes, American Banker and Worth.
David Carter, CFAChief Operating OfficerDavid has spent more than twenty years as a trusted advisor to institutions, families and individuals, helping them make consequential decisions about their money. Most of that time was at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he served as Managing Director and Investment Specialist, advising affluent clients on investment strategy, risk and long-term wealth. He has also built and led firms of his own: as President and Chief Investment Officer of Lenox Wealth Advisors, he set the investment philosophy and led the investment committee of a registered adviser, managing portfolios through multiple market cycles and carrying the accountability that comes with other people’s savings.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a CFA charterholder. His perspectives have been featured in The Wall Street Journal and other Dow Jones publications. David joined WealthMeUp after first backing the company as an early investor.
Yianni YessiosChief Technology OfficerYianni has spent more than twenty years building complex technology and digital products. Most recently, he was Chief Software Engineer for LifeStation, Affiliated Monitoring and DGA Security, where he led systems that connected people in emergencies and could not go down. He previously served as Director of Engineering at Spot & Tango and has built technology across consumer, media and digital platforms. Earlier, he led web technologies at Yale University and was Associate Professor of Digital Arts at the Cleveland Institute of Art, where his teaching combined technology, computation and digital media.
He holds a BS in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an MFA in Art and Technology from The Ohio State University. His technology-driven work has been exhibited internationally, including at SIGGRAPH, a leading global forum for computer graphics and interactive technology.
